Im actually thinking I WILL go as of now unless something off the wall happens, but sure, why not meet up somewhere. If you want to start naming possible places (or PMing them) go for it but i think we have time to figure out details.

Kinda funny I'm one of the few actually in the triad. Bad part is, Fayetteville is just as bad from here as Raleigh.

I wouldn't be able to do the 22nd thing, but might be able to go on the 20th. Gotta see if I have some spare cash closer to then.

I understand how difficult it is to get a meet together when it involves the entire state and then some. I'm not in for the whole Fayetteville. Reason I say that is that will be a 4 1/2 hour drive from me to do it. Sorry just not going to happen. If you want a truly close centralized meet why not pick Greensboro, Winston-Salem area. That is the perfect spot IMO since you have I40, Hwy52 via 85 and 77 that all come in together. Makes it a lot easier for people to get to.

If you want a good place to meet and grill out, try Tanglewood Park. It cost only about 2 bucks to get in, but you have plenty of parking spaces and camping sites. There are also 3 golf courses in it. 2 full length, 1 par 3.

Another thing, trying to plan something for the fall is also extremely difficult. For one its football season. I try to attend most if not all the games as an alum. I may be the only one that is following football right now, but thats not to say that there isn't someone that has to work because of it.

I'll definitely give it a try to meet, but like I said, unless location changes, I'm out.

I'm afraid to change the location since it would be backtracking on progress, but I am down for any location.. If just as many people can make that location as Fayetteville, i'm down for it, we just need to hear feedback from the people that can/cannot attend

The date shouldnt change i believe. just the location sounds like it may. It all depends on the feedback we get about which location will draw a bigger crowd..

Ok, which do you guys prefer? Fayetteville, or Greensboro? The one I prefer is the one that draws the biggest crowd.

So those who ARE going or MIGHT go, which do you prefer?

what was the date again? Depending on schedule and moving, I'd prefer greensboro.

lol.. Gboro it is!

Ok,

OCTOBER 20 GREENSBORO NC

Now, suggestions on the park in Gboro. SCBLKRL, didn't u suggest a place? It sounded good, and since you are familiar with it, that is even better..

Oh, and whats the word on The rock this saturday? What time are you guys planning on being out there? I might be able to meet up, but it depends on if it is relatively early...

well park that I suggested is on the other side of Winston-salem in Clemmons. Called Tanglewood park. Its right off of I-40 going west. Approx 10min west of W-S or 35 min west of Gboro. If i remember right it is 2 bucks to get into the park.

Since it is the 20th, I already have plans so I can't make it. wish I could now, but can't back out of my plans.

Also Raine has created a post for the track this saturday (22nd). Brief overview - so far 10-12 members of DSLSJA going, leaving out around 430-5 to get there by 6 when gates open and start running at 7. Come all that want to join. No pressure to run the 1/4, just come out and meet people.

Bump...

I saw an exit for Tanglewood off of 40 yesterday when I was coming back from Boone, I am guessing it is the same one.

The park does seem pretty cool. There are plenty of shelters that I think are reservable, and it is right off of 40, so it will be easy to find.

http://www.co.forsyth.nc.us/Document...lewood_Map.pdf <-----Map Of Park

So does this place seem like it will work for everyone? If I get some responses of YES's, and MAYBE's, I will try to reserve a shelter for us.

So anyone that may come to the meeting, write a YES or MAYBE to let us know how many people may attend. Remember, if you are unsure, but there is a possibilty you can make it, just say MAYBE, so you can backout at the last minute if ya need to..
