Assuming parts and labor for new pistons and probably HG? I'll guess 2400.

GM has already scanned my car for tunes. This isn't my first visit. I have a long history of blown MAP sensors since I have been stock. They might warrant it considering they have spent the better part of today trying to figure out what caused the misfire. I am at the point though, if they charge me more than 3K I will just get it towed back home, and build a new bottom end. And drive a bike or beater till its all fixed.

They have the engine builder / and 2 other techs on it trying to figure out what went wrong. I am wondering too since it happened under part throttle at 45mph.

If its over 2K I am just gonna get the car towed and carpool with the wife for a while, till I get the engine built. so yeah, 2.3 stroker if thats the case. All the blown maps though, leads me and term to believe that some excessive blowby was going on. Also there was a tad bit of pooling in the bottom of my IC piping when I installed the intercooler. Having owned an elcipse, I thought this was normal.

If the do warrant it though, I will buy the stage 1 from them, as a good gesture and thanks for hooking me up.

When did you blow your first map sensor? The blow by has likely been present since before then. Which means the piston has been cracking for a while now.

I have been breaking maps since stock. They have a record of having to replace 2 of them. That might explain why it was such a PITA to dial my MAFs in most of the time. (remember it was giving you trouble when we were on the dyno that day.)

More than likely the issue has been going on for a long while. The other day was just the straw that broke the camel's back.

Its not covered....

Customers make note. The tune is undetectable to the TECH 2. But not if they send your ECM in to GM.

I was gonna say...
The LE5 is a bigger bore and stroke than even the L61 so if you put the LE5 crank in a stock bore LSJ it would not displace 2.4 liters.
