Ok, so the squeak in my springs won't go away...any suggestions guys? I'm almost 100% sure it's coming from the right rear, and I was going to check it out this weekend. Anything I should look for, or is there anything that maybe needs to be greased up or something? If I can't find anything I'll just hit it with a hammer a few times or something.

This isn't intermittent though. It's making noise when I go over anything that isn't 100% smooth. It's not from compression of the spring, but vibration when going over rough surfaces that seems to affect it the most.

Sounds like coil bind.I think all springs for the balt bind in the rear.you can get rubber sleeving for them to shut em up.I did this and it went away but them later pulled it off to be lower as the sleeving raised the rear about 1/2 an inch.Ill deal with it to be lower

Is this sleeving just some generic stuff I can pick up from the store then? My springs didn't come with anything except those plastic bags and a box with a maple leaf on it.

After doing a little reading it sounds like the coils essentially have to be binding, as that's that nature of a progressive spring. Still, I'm interested why it only seems to affect one side...I'll grab some of that tubing though. Do you by chance know what diameter I should get?

I want to say I used 1/2 inch tubing.Sounds right your gonna have to pull the springs out and lube it up so you can slide it on with ease....ahhh yeeeeahhh thats what she said

Could be a bearing in the steering column. Both steering columns had to be replaced in both my TC's

Tyler my 80s are EV6 and will work with the stock harness for us L61 guys. If those are EV1 then you need to butcher the harness to make them work.
