Man this weekend was FUN!!! Did lots and lots and lots of cruisin with wolff,Chris,and robert.I'll just say between the 4 of us,My car pulls all but chris(06blackbalt) was right on my ass.Im impressed with his tune.Before the tune I would pull like a freight train.good times!!!

 

You guys are hard to follow! haha I heard from Brandon you didnt have the cobalt and had an evo. I was going to tune brandon for the upgraded turbo... Now I read that Brandon has the evo and you are getting the turbo and need a tune?

I know a guy that tunes, builds trans, and a **** load more for evo's FYI, whoever has that thing!

So what turbo is on it?

The tuner I know put down 550 @ 40 psi on an FP red turbo.

 

From what I understand it's the 4g turbo. The turbo used in the evo 9+10

 

its the stock 2005 16g turbo and i know the guy that tuned it before that turbo is good for about 400whp so youre good to go. I have other plans after i have a little fun with the BNR first haha

 

Yeah i had the evo took it back because they wanted too much money down after they said we can make a deal with no money down lol then brandon went and picked it up haha

 

yah they are good to about 400... So Brandon was lying about it being upgraded...

Stupid dealerships... Thats like when they told me (when I was looking at an LNF before my build) 400 a month with my upside down money tacked on while none down.. I went back the next day and they said they cant get anywhere close to that.... *******...

no i didnt...and i am wolff...as in Chris Wolff.

no more hardness on the car till the tune...i just needed to feel it once as it sits...lol. i logged it with my torque app though, and its solid from what i can tell. injector duty cylce in the 90+% range under WOT, but never lean at WOT. so the fuel is there, the injector just work extra hard. lol....

ok ok no more until it tuned...i promise!

Yah I dont get why he has it set like that. Throttle position should be factored in to his tune like HPT...

90% huh? I would up the base fuel a psi or two get those injectors in the 80's...

 

i guess new orders take a while to ship...they said 14-21 days. and its almost that. but anywho. yeah i bumped fuel up 4 PSI when i did the pulley....think i should go more?

 

What was the highest IDC you saw?

 

id have to go back and check..i think it was 101 at 13 psi about 95ish mph in 4th.

 

Yah def bump up to get it closer to 90%... The reason you are going lean is because of the 101 IDC...

after doing some reading, i think the KR might be false readings. not sure if tha tis something that can actually be determined though. so yeah. ill bump it up 2-3 more PSI later tonight.. hopefully HPT get here quickly. so we can tune this pile!
