I have not.Tyler is on 9:1 and tested 180,So 10:1 should be in the low 200's atleast.I wonder if it's your head,or head gasket, but might as well put good internals in if we're gonna open it up,you know?Once mine hits 100,000 miles,I'm gonna run a a test it.I'm at 97,000 miles right now,so soon.
on the 2.2 stock gm called for numbers of 180-200. im about 160ish last time i get a compression tests. but like i said i asked around called a few engine builders, and gm and they said my numbers are fine.
I was doing a lot of hard thinking about my Saturn and if i should start modding/fixing it again. I've come to the realization that I cannot make up my mind. So i thought i would get your opinions and go from there.
First let me give you the information on the Saturn. i currently owe 6800 on it, but will be able to pay it off august of next year. Sad to say but I've kinda let it go over the past year. here is a list of what needs to be fixed.
*Headliner needs to be reupholstered and re-installed.
*Head unit needs to be re-installed.
*Need to buy a sensor for my passenger seat so the airbag light goes away.
*Need to get my EVAP solenoid from Steve to make my C.E.L. go away.
*need to install new window regulators and wire them.
*my driver side mirror is double bubbled on right now thanks to some jerk who knocked over a reflector in a construction zone. So i wanna buy and wire up power mirrors.
*needs new console piece that goes around the shifter. It has a switch that does nothing on it and where the cigarette lighter is its cracked around that.
*New tint back window is all hazed.
*New tires.
*New shocks/struts.
*New splash shields all 4 corners.
*Figure out why it shakes when i go into reverse or first its done it no matter what clutch I've had in it. Maybe I'm not revving high enough but I don't know.
So i can either keep the Saturn as a daily driver and buy a cheap early 90's car. A lot cheaper to modify, and wont be beating on my daily driver. I could fix/modify the Saturn, or I could fix the Saturn and trade it in on a nicer newer car. Particularly the new 2013 Scion FRS/ Subaru BRZ has caught my eye, but if i do that ill have to save a little longer and fix the Saturn during that time.
On a side note i know that may seem like a lot of wiring, but i do it for a living on airplanes so it'll be simple. Just a matter of finding somewhere i can do it. I'm currently living in an apartment and they wont let me do maintenance on my car in the parking lot no matter how small. But in June I'm moving in w/ a friend that has a spacious car port. Win win for me. If you read all this thank you for taking the time out of your day to do so and help me with this conundrum.

edit:forgot to add things that annoy me bout the car:
*horrible bolt pattern to get the wheels i want
*no one makes upgraded axles for the 2.2l's that i know of

I would pay the saturn off and slowly repair the problems on it
By the picture of it in your SIG the car looks pretty clean
And Im pretty sure you could round alot of us up to cruise out the your place when you move and there will be alot of helping hands there.

I'd kill for those numbers right now lol. Mine are definitely lower than what is acceptable
bent valves would mean the car wouldnt run right at all. hell probably wouldnt even start. not sure if timing would make compression change. but steve and i are kinds at timing these things now!!! lol
