Terry is too quiet about what he's got done so far. I know he's trying to do a big-wheel stocker like mine, and possibly meth (maybe e85? really not sure). He's got a built bottom-end and an externally gated manifold so far. So yeah, really not sure how fast his car has gotten.

My car on the other hand, will not hold fuel pressure. Gonna try to experiment with it tomorrow. Thought it was the pump, but the pump seems to run now that i have it out of the car and hot-wired to the battery. Possibly my FPR on the return-line.....

So I have a quick question about my intake, my car is running fine no issues or anything but it is very loud at all times when accelerating? Barely into boost and it sounds like an airplane lol I just want to know if that's normal? It sounds great going into full boost with the internal blow off but even when I'm driving normal not really hitting boost it still blows off a tad? I don't think it's surging but I wouldn't know what that sounds like. Any help would be cool

 

Yeah that's normal for an intake. Your car will still blow off too even if it's not in 'boost'.

Well Chris has my car.. he looked at it , piston #1 compression was around 30, all others around 170 give or take. Boroscope indiacted from what he can tell no crack in the block, but some scoring in cyl 1 , so will need to be re-sleeved and ordring some Diamond pistons from eiither ottp or local machine shop he is using. The cause for the blown piston he believes is teh intercooler pump quit working, and since I didnt have a Aeroforce guage.. I didnt know the IAT's were rising Wont make that mistake again!! Just wanted to give out a update and Thanks again Chris for the help.

 

That cylinder got worked! I was trying to take pictures through the lense in the boroscope but it didnt work. haha There is a larger section that seem to got the brunt of the damage. Burn marks and server scoring and on the opposite side of that is a even wear of the cylinder from what appears to be from the land.

Came to the conclusion that the intercooler pump was not working and the IATs got too hot. When the car started to boost in 5th, because of cruise control engagement and going up a hill, the IATs sky rocketed and something had to give. Atleast it was only one cylinder as I could tell.

So anyone who is SC'd I strongly suggest checking the IC pump or get a interceptor to monitor it. That would have saved his motor.

Called IPT This morning. Guy said he was 'busy doing things' right and would.call me back in an hour. So far he's 3 hours late in calling me... last time I called him back he got mad and gave me attitude that I called him back instead of waiting even though he said he would call right back...

IPT is turning into a shitty company right now... gonna call back tomorrow and ask for a manager. On tired of getting the runaround from this ass **** who was supposed to send me an email with my receipt on it over a month ago.

 

And yes my car still blows off when not in boost... just really quiet.

 

So I bought this last Friday. Its a Soviet made M91/30 Bolt action rifle. Shoots 7.62x54r rounds, and its a ton of fun. I droped it off at my local gunsmiths on Sunday to give it a good once over, and will be taking it out next weekend.
