the price wont be dropping I will be actually asking a lil more since it will have a freshly ported/polished intake manifold, head, throttle body, ZZP cams w/ fuel lobe, new stainless steel meth lines and dual nozzel setup and 3bar progressive methanol controller. i havnt figured out a price but those parts alone are $2400

However...
It has been rumored that Charlie Allen has secured an alternate site south of the current location to move Firebird Raceway farther out of town near Casa Grande, Arizona and, according to the note, a replacement track will be up and running to in time to host the Arizona NHRA event for 2014.

Either way, hopefully there will still be a track in the south valley.

Either way I hope where ever they land,They actually start to prep the gawd dayum track.I'm tired of paying $20 to race on a track that is slicker than the roads. If they don't care to prep for FND,then I don't care to know my times. It's a waste of money to drive all the way there to try to hook up on a frozen lake.

This. The track prep every time ive been to firebird to spectate has been nonexistent. The same red C6 vette (not sure on mods, i think just exhaust) has been there multiple times spun going into 4th gear every time down the track...

Yeah it's pretty ridiculous that there is no prep what so ever.

Meh I just don't think these wheels are wide enough to support 225's.I gotta go back Monday and put 215's back on.They Kumho's are great tires though. The grip really well and if these wheels were wide enough to where there wasn't an ass ton of sidewall movement, they would corner great.I'll get the Sam ASX's but back down to a 215/45/17.Nice thing about them is they are Asymmetrical,Meaning you can rotate them normally and not just back to front.

Cool. I'd be goin 235/40/18 for my 8" wide wheels. I'll keep these in mind while I'm shopping.

If you need someone to build your I know a guy that is cheap compared to most. Does great work also! He has 550+ to the wheels and its holding strong.
