Here's what I got back yesterday. I'm very happy with it.

Even looks shiny inside

The guy at the coating place was very impressed with the build quality of the header, and was suprised when I told him the price. He said that there's no way they can be making any money selling them that cheap

Thanks again Dan and Beth, first header i've seen that was a real deal.

Unfortunately, I won't be putting it on for a few weeks.

That is Jet Hot coating, 2000 degree ceramic. If that burns off, I got bigger problems than the header

I know a few guys on j-body were saying something about putting the lsj header on their 03-05 cavaliers. Do you know if this would work? Im looking at getting one this friday, and heard the lsj gave better gains than the ones meant for the 2.2 eco.

Thanks for all the comments. Joe, the coating looks good. What type did you get? Grey Ice???

As mentioned, the Cobalt will be here tomorrow morning. Wednesday didn't work out. We will test fit the TRI-Y header and install our 3" exhaust system. TRI-Y headers will be finished Tuesday as well as production of our exhaust systems.

Thanks again everyone.

Its Jet Hot, I don't know what the color is called, he asked me what color I wanted, I told him whatever works best, and he said the black is a little higher rated, 2000 Degree, so thats what I got

The coating looks good! My spray on VHT still looks brand new after about 2,000 miles...

I'm still waiting on some updates on CIA's 3" exhaust. Supposedly they have their own mufflers and resonators now...

TRI-Y header was test fit and fit fine. No problem with the O2 sensor bung location so we will proceed with finishing them.

I bent aluminized and 304 stainless exhaust tubing this week. I will be bending more Tuesday. We do NOT have our own mufflers yet. All 3" exhaust system orders will be built as described and pictured on this forum, using a Magnaflow resonator and Magnaflow muffler. We have not made any progress on our own muffler/resonator line yet.

We did a custom 3" exhaust on a turbo Cobalt this morning. Bright and early at 6 A.M.

Customer requested both the muffler and resonator be deleted. We re-used a 5" tip he had. I'm not mentioning the brand of the turbo kit but when the car pulled in this morning there was no connection between the down-pipe and exhaust system. The down-pipe was left hanging under the car. It was a first for us to see. Either the manufacturer didn't include a hook-up pipe when they shipped or they never designed one in the first place. Either way it was an incomplete system. It ended with a 3" V-band connection so we built the 3" exhaust from the V-band back. Luckily we had one in stock with a stainless clamp.

I'll get some pictures up when I can.

Anyways, install went well, we were able to test fit our 3" exhaust on two different Cobalts this week and progress resulted.

Have a great weekend.

Yes, there is a flex pipe in the downpipe, about in the same location as stock

I'm not sure if you are referring to a stock down-pipe replacement or not. If so, we only had a couple inqueries for them and I had made a post somewhere on the forum. Basically we do NOT stock the factory 3-bolt flange to bolt to the stock manifold. That is the only thing preventing us from being able to offer a factory replacement down-pipe with or without hi-flow converter. I'm sorry if I didn't get back to you personally. We have been swamped with Cobalt messages. I have said it before and will continue to do so, PM's are the worst way to contact us with questions. Please call us at (425)251-0329.

Thanks.

I believe they're working on them this week. They said that if there are no hang-ups, mine would hopefully be shipping this or next week (and I ordered a catback too)
