New powell xd seat brackets

Our new XD seat brackets to facilitate Sparco ( or momo) seat install using sparco seat brackets. Pricing will be available week of August 13; the only option will be snap in lap belt rings. Brackets will be powdercoated, and install with Sparco seat rails, into OEM GM factory fastening points. Seat mounted belt latch for console side travels with the seat. R100 seats and rails not included but we can direct you to a supplier with very good pricing if desired. The R100 Sparco fits the Cobalt and has space for larger drivers; the overall seat height is as low as the chassis permits. Prototype bracket show, new powdercoated parts will be slightly different with improved finish.
So here we go.
OEM style mounting, seat mounted inside anchor, optional snap in lap belt rings

not ready for release for another week, powdercoating next. sold in pairs, right hand is left hand opposite, not interchangeable. GM dont make the seat bracket mounting bosses symmetrical..

aligns perfectly for shoulder strap mounting with Powell harness bar, and the seat is as low as it can be and still clear the body cross member and under seat heating duct, gains about an inch of head room for crash helmet use.

thats awesome! i've been curious about that. its awesome to see someone going out and fabricating something unique and useful. i've got corbeau seats which are very affordable alternatives to sparco and momo but i would definitely love a pair of momo seats in my ride

There was a Cobalt at CED with them for a little while. I've rode in said car at Road America, and the best part might be the increased headroom for your helmet. You don't fee like you're in a go-kart with no room, hitting the roof all the time.

Remember you still need to buy sliders and seats but yes John has a good price on these. I paid way more for my custom made brackets.

u kiddingme? R100 are the least expensive best value seats out there, and no where near 1000 dollars

Sparco Racing Seat R100
329 free shipping two seats, the sliders are around 100 something. ( actually 70 dollars u dont need the base, we supply that. So. 658 for two seats. a bargain, and choice of colors.

and that took me 30 seconds to find. I did not look for any eBay deals.

ps install them yourself without my brackets. let me know how it works out for you.

No reason it cant be transferred afaik, there are peeps who have done it here. The seat is just a metal frame with springs and levers and stuff, some springs, sponge and a seat cover
