THMotorsports: Stainless Steel Clutch Line Kit - NO ONE ELSE ONE - FINALLY OUT !!!
It really is that easy.
For the clutch line:
1) Disconnect battery
2) Remove PCM
3) Remove fuse box lid
4) Loosen all of the 7mm bolts inside of fuse panel
5) Remove 10mm jump stud and battery cables
6) Remove fuse block
7) Loosen the 13mm bolt(s) that secure the bracket to the frame
8) Remove the connectors from the bracket and lay them to the side
9) Remove the bracket (takes some wiggling and finesse)
10) Zip tie the harnesses out of your way
11) Use a curved edge or hook pick to pull up on the two tabs (one on the master cylinder and one on the dist block(pics on page 1 here)) BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO LAUNCH THAT LITTLE CLIP INTO THE AIR ITS TINY AND EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND.
12) Slide the line out of the master cylinder and dist block and remove it
13) Install the new line and push lock fittings back into the master and dist block
14) Bleed clutch (how to found here - https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/how-...way-2-a-38452/)
15) Reassemble

just installed this clutch line on my 09 cobalt ss turbo. It drives so much more smoother and shifting is alot alot crisper. Its worth the 65 bucks and its hella easy to install on the car.
Just curious, but does this work on the ION Redlines?... I would assume so, since the "Guts" are the same, but I know (personal experience) there have been issues with brake line fitment.
Ill take a look and let you know.
SELLING MORE AND MORE EVERYDAY..... everyone... this makes a huge difference on the COBALTSS. HUGE! GM decided to make that whole thing plastic/rubber and your clutch turns spongy !!
This clutch line rectifies this completely !!!

UPDATE! I finally got it installed! It only took me about 30 mins to get the old Clutch Line out and put new 1 in. OH MY! What a difference! You will notice that old Clutch Line feel spongy and will feel alittle jerk sometimes that is because of the Stock Clutch Line. GM made Clutch Line line up on the top of the Transmission and that cause Plastic Clutch Line to expand. When you put Stainless Clutch Line and it will not expand and the line is away from the Transmission. You will have to take out Fuse Box/PCM in order to install your new Stainless Clutch Line. Becareful with that Clip for Clutch Line! They are small and if you lose it then you're SCREWED! I use P clip with zip tide on the top of the Transmission Bracket there is a hole right on the top of Transmission Bracket. That is where I zip tide it, I only used 1 P clip. Then put everything back in order but watch out for wiring harness make sure they clear out the way to put Fuse Box Bracket back in. They are MUST have for all LSJ/LNF owners out there! They are HUGH difference between Stock and Stainless Clutch Line. Stainless give SMOOTH engagement and you will feel clutch push up to your feet. Trust me You will feel it! GET EM!
