B&G adjustable rear shocks

So I grabbed some from a member on here to see if it would be a stiffer and lower set-up than my stock TC shocks, unfortunately it didnt lower my car at all
I have them screwed all the way up to the locking ring so the shock is as short as possible( same height as stock), and i have them set at 5 of 12 settings for stiffness.

I still have 2-3 finger gap in the rear with my H&R sport springs.

If you have any pics of adjustable shocks used or ideas to maybe change the height, it would be much appreciated.

If I am not clear, the shocks are height adjustable with a locking ring and they control dampening stiffness 1-12

shocks don't set height, the spring does. lengthen the shock or put your stock ones back in. it will never get lower without a spring change

okay, but lengthening the shock makes it a lot longer than the stock ones

shocks dont lower the car, id either stick to stock, konies, or coilovers.

If you mean shocks just set them softer, setting them hard doesnt make the car lower. The shock is your control of the spring, the spring is what dictates ride height.

the shock is height adjustable and damper adjustable..its from their coilover set

B]If I am not clear, the shocks are height adjustable with a locking ring and they control dampening stiffness 1-12 on the top of the shock[/B]

ahhh, is the collar as low as possible? If so then that is weird that it still sits that high unless you arent running the springs that came with them. Then that makes sense.

yeah, the collar is compressed all the way down and i have H&R sport springs all the way around.
but even with the shock fully compressed it still is the same length as stock, and then it extends another "3-4" taller when loosened

yeah that is why, the H&R springs are taller than the designed spring for that shock setup. YOu are going to have to contact B&G about a replacement for the rear. Or scrap the frankensuspension.

Thanks for your replies man....

Here is a link to them so you guys can get a visual.https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/part...id-kit-296277/

I set them to 2 on the stiffness and its still bouncy as hell.
I may spin the collar all the way down to lengthen the shock just to see what happens, because i have it all the way up right now and it seems like it is bottoming out

Is setting them to 2 adjusting compression or rebound dampening? Both?

the shock itself is height adjustable to account for lower ride height and so the springs won't fall out. they themselves won't lower the car, that's the springs job
