B+G Cobalt Suspension have finally arrived

Got home from work today and look what UPS had delivered my B+G coilovers from Gravana Tuning.

I haven't installed them yet, but I got some pictures for everyone. I will probably get someone to do the install since I don't want to deal with it right now.

Here is the hole kit, minus the span wrenches and a card with the warrenty and various warnings.

Compression and Rebound are adjustable, not seperately however, It's a hard/soft setting.

I am using the stock top hat and bearing, you can spend more and get the adjustable camber plates, I have been told the camber plate top hat compromises the comfort of the ride in trade for that adjust ability.

The lower mounts on the shocks are all threaded so as you lower the car you can change the overall length of the shocks so you don't lose the damper travel.

I am doing it myself right now and I am taking a lunch break while the impact wrench recharges. I started around 10:30 and I have the front struts out, the passenger side Coilover is assembled (uses stock hat/bearing) and the passenger side out and waiting for the recharge to take off the top hat. It's not bad so far, but I got a way to go.

I am following halfcents how to for the front, as you need to remove the strut and top hat like you would for lowering springs, I just am replacing it with a nice coilover. I will have lots of pictures when I am done.

I would say yes, but i'm a huge B+G fan. for all around performance and comfort yes. there will be others that probably out perform it but compromises comfort.

Front's are in, my main objective so far was to get the right and left sides identical. I get them all setup and dropped the car and it was stock ride height exactly. (I was trying to drop it 2 inches!)

I got the rears apart and I am taking a small break. Rear should be easier.

I will post pictures and stuff when I am done, hopefully Jonel can get the site up and running

Sorry folks I ran into some problems with the rear end so I won't be getting the pictures uploaded. I have to work with B+G to figure out what I am doing wrong

***NEW INFO***

Ok luckily I was able to get some help from the B+G guys who designed the system, I have to give Mike credit, he has let me call him several times today to ask questions about the installed.

I have it installed and the system is at stock ride height.

I will spend tomorrow trying to lower the system and take some preload out of the springs cause right now it's not adjusted right at all. There are lots of things to adjust, and I have taken measurements of all the setting and will work from there. Right now the system is very firm and bouncy, but it handles like it's on rails on smooth pavement. Must less body roll than stock. I have a lot more work to do. When I get it setup how I like I will post all my settings.

Here all all the pictures of the install.

I am a suspension n00b
