well its 8 way adjustable, Im thinking its probobly a max drop of 3 inch front and back, don't quote me on that its just a guess. and the price is like 1100 gravana sells them. the issue is with the rear shock it doesn't allow for the complete drop. but no worries it is being fixed.

well its the way the cobalt is designed. pretty much its built like a stink bug low in the front and high in the rear.

is it because of the stock bump stop? I've heard you may need to cut them for some extra drop

bump stop's should be completely removed in this case.

uhh depending upon the suspension setup u might have to cut the bump stops. other wise u wont get the proper lowering. i've lowered numerious cars from chevy's fords lexus mazda honda acura mitsu's and depending upon the drop u might have to cut or remove the bump stop or you wont get the proper drop and may cause the spring to cause vibes, cuz the spring isnt settling properly.

If you were as smart as you say you are, you'd realize bump stops having to do with what is holding the back from being dropped all the way. Bump stops are NOT the problem here.

I realize that its not the issue but he should still not need the bump stops in this case.

Hey Guys.. Mike from B&G here.. the problem we ran into was our test shock did not have dampening adjustability. Our adjustment knob added too much to the length of the shock causing to to bump out to early. We are manufacturing new pieces as i type this.. Also on the bump stop inssue.. Our shock have their own bump stops so you do not have to use the factory ones. If anyone has any questions on our coilovers please feel free to ask away.

I'm looking into these coilovers as a serious potential buy (tough choice between H&R and these) Has that shock issue been resolved yet? Any pics or updates would be great

Another thing to look into is you might want to put the car on a set of scales. "Not bathroom scales" some digital race car scales or grain scales. And adjust the wedge on the car. What this does when your cornering it will tell you how much weight is transferred to a corner. I had this guy with an ACURA RSX type S he put those TEIN coilover shocks on and he could get all the corners to drop but the LR. So I had him bring it to my race shop and it was all messed up. Well he had the RF over loaded. You want to get your cross weight for a street car around 55-58% to adjust wedge. To add wedge once you get your ride heights close. Add turns to RF and LR and take out of LF and RR. To take wedge out just do the opposite. Then re-check ur height if you want to shoot for a certain ride height.

Can't wait to see some pix and hear how they are.

These were my number 1 choice until I saw the modern performance BC sport ones.

Good luck; I ran into the same prob. with the rear. I settled for a two finger gap all the way around.

Here is a picture of the car lowered fully. I could probably go 1 inch more in the back and a couple more in the front but I am worried about ride quality. Bump steer is also more of an issue now.

i apologize if this question was posted before, but here goes. I have the b& g coilovers installed for about about 5,000 miles now. i hit a really bad pothole, and the ball and socket joint where the sway bar attaches to the stut tower popped out. nothing looks to be bent or broken. has anyone ever heard of this before, any advice? if i can pop it back together somehow will i be ok? thanks.
