Best replacement parts?

Well, i just got my new rims put on yesterday. I'm finally going to make the move on fixing my cobalt up. It's going to need a lot though. I'd like some help picking out which parts to choose. I want to lower it, so I should probably get new struts while I'm at it. I'm looking for best bang for buck, but not cheap. I don't just want to go to autozone and buy cheap crap that won't last.

So from reading around, here is what i gathered. If you have suggestions, chime in.

Best replacement struts- ss/tc?

Best lowering springs? I've had my eye on tein but i havent heard much about them. Stay away from eibach and ssc?

Best control arms/bushings? Control arm verticle bushings are going out and i know the gm replacement bushings don't last, what should i do? id love to get the zzp arms but i refuse to pay that much. They may be worth it, just not to me.

Best replacement rotors? I'd like to keep the cost under $40 per rotor. Summit racing has a lot of choices that all seem the same to me.

Best catted downpipe? I'm getting a used vibrant header tomorrow and i have a 2.5" magnaflow catback ready to get welded on my stock exhaust flange. Leaning towards the zzp, but i'd like to find one used. Ideas?

you seem to be right on

best shock and struts would be the FE5's from CED
best springs universally are Powell's YYZ's
best control arms are from a LSJ and bushings can be moog or other brands
best rotors are usually OEM blanks unless you track or auto-x it then you can get drilled/slotted ones
best catted dp is probably ZZP

I've actually heard SSCs are pretty good though.

But everyone says Powells are the best. Just don't lower as much.

Have you guys heard anything about tein lowering springs? I really like them for some odd reason. It's one of those things that by the name, just sounds quality. I haven't heard of anybody running them though. Do you know where I could get the moog bushings from? I got moog end links and looks for mood bushings and couldnt seem to find them anywhere. Oh, and I guess i should have mentioned, I have an lsj

if you just want to go low and aren't worried about handling, i wouldn't bother replacing the shocks/struts. a lot of people like CM springs, and for $180 shipped you can't beat the price.

however, if you want to go fast and a little bit lower, ss/tc shocks/struts and powell yyz v2 springs is the best bang for the buck. don't bother arguing that, everyone here will tell you the same thing.

that's about where my expertise ends haha
