THERE is a huge difference between the mrz and the dc... the mrz is just plain stronger.

dc is made with bar circle stock and the mrz is made with bar stock.. one is clearly beefier then the other

Thank you all for the info on this, MRZ is the one I am going to buy.

Also....
Has anyone bought a K brace for the bottom of their car???

I see Turbo Tech has one for $99 for the Sunfire, I am tempted to get this too for my wife's car.

The MRZ is made from aluminum and DC Sports is made of steel. I'm not saying one is better than the other, it's just you can't say which one is stronger just by looking at it.

We have tested both of the above, and a "new" one he... he...

TTR will be doing it again, the strongest and should be the lightest one out there.... No bolts/cap screws holding it together like other aluminum ones, No steel like the DC Sport one....

All 6061 aircraft grade aluminum, welded, and powder coated. You guys will love the look and design. I cant even think of anything that would come close to this

welding aluminum makes it weaker. why would you do that? how come you don't use a super epoxy like they do on the lotus's?

the weld its self is strong yes but the metal around the weld loses strength form the heat of the weld.

but its not like the brace is supporting a ton of weight. so i guess it really would make a huge difference.

to the op, and ignoring all the nonsense:

in a cobalt you're not going to notice any difference in normal driving, which is what i hope you're doing with a ababy in the car. you'll notice it when you're taking tight turns at high speed. normal driving and it will feel exactly like it did before you put it on. the cobalt has pretty sturdy handling, so maybe in the other cars you've had it was a big difference, but not in this car.

I will be driving normal, but even when driving normal, especially on a Sunfire the car leans on turns. As such, the babies seat pushes around.

Having used strut braces before, I know that it made a good difference in taking turns even slow ones. There is a lot less being pushed and pulled in the seat. That is what I want and I wanted to know what the best one to get is.

I am not taking my 3 month old out to the slalom course.

Anyways, TTR, how much difference does the K support make in handling?
As much as the brace?

i'm guessing a K support is going to stiffen it up a bunch more considering it's not just one bar

Ok here is a question as I have looked around and found K-braces used under cars and under the hood.

Is the TTR K-brace for under the car (front or rear) or is it for under the hood like on an older Trans-Am?

I have also seen one near the front radiator area.

I want to start the arguments again.....you may have to jack one side of the car and loosen all the strut nuts to install a strut bar. I did...and for some stupid reason the DC Sports Strut bar states that in their install instructions....go figure....
