Blown shock and struts

I have a 2006 LS with blown shocks and struts. I've been looking at the threads to see what would be best to buy and what not but can't find anything exact. I'm looking for something that's worth the money and good quality also I'm trying to find out I it is better to take it to a shop or do it myself.

Do it yourself, you're out of the rust belt so it'll be easy. What do you want from the suspension? Do you want to just replace the struts and shocks or want to lower it and add better handling too.

If it were me I'd go with the FE5 suspension, weather just the struts and shocks or also the springs from the 08-10 SS. Their stronger and the ride shouldn't be affected and if you go with the springs too the ride will be a bit harsher but the handling is so much nicer.

Okay. Also if the shocks and struts are blown would the springs be compromised and need to be replaced? Also when driving at speeds above 20 mph I keep hearing what sound like wheel wobble coming from the front driver side wheel but when I checked the bolts they are all tightened down correctly would the blown struts cause this?

No the springs would still be good but I just posted a nice suspension that will improve handling a bit and doesn't feel so unsafe cornering.

No idea on the wheel wobble though.

If you are doing the work yourself. Spend the extra money and get the full FE5 suspension from the newer SS's. It will lower your car and improve the handling leaps and bounds.

Cobalt FE5-FE5 Strut,Shock,Spring Plug and Play System FE5-FE5

or just shocks and struts

If you want a nice drop, great handling and budget is not a problem, go with Konis and Eibach Sportlines

wobble could be a wheel bearing issue. not sure without seeing it.

OP should get in the FS section.

There is a full fe5 suspension and then CM springs he can snag up all for about $250 total. Great deal
