Blown strut question

Basically my passanger side front strut is completly fucked and I want to replace both the front ones...my question is can I just replace the 2 front struts with TC struts and be good to go or do I need to replace the shocks as well even if my stickers are good...it's a 07 LT with 55k if that helps any

..you could do just the front..but meh if you got the spare cash just get all 4 and be done with it. Otherwise you'll have a saggy ass rear end that handles like crap and a fresh new end that is good. imo do it all at the same time. Otherwise missmatched parts can suck.

True but I don't have the spare $$ and tc struts aren't that much more expensive than stock replacements...will tc struts lower my car at all, I don't expect a huge drop but maybe a half inch lower or something..

Also can you replace just struts and not shocks and be good to go??

Ya..........if your shocks are still good. I don't see how replacing the front struts with an OE equivilent would be a bad thing. However if you upgrade, upgrade the struts and the shocks. If you don't you handleing will be affected.

The springs are what affects your ride height. Not the Struts.

well the tc struts are more "performance" minded over the stock lt ones. So it may lower the front a little bit. But ya if you keep the same springs you shouldnt notice too much. Do as you wish, but did you check Create engine depot for all the struts/shocks? maybe cheaper than if you asked local for prices.
