Caliper Replacement

Hello all,

I am going to replace my wife's leaking rear caliper on her 06 SS/SC. I have searched several threads on this topic and it seems like many people have replaced theirs. I have not replaced the rears before so I am not sure if any special tool is needed for the removal of the e-brake linkage. If someone could let me know if this a pretty straight forward job I would appreciate it. Thanks!

No different than any other rear caliper with integrated ebrake. It can be done with regular hand tools.

A hint when replacing the caliper to help bleeding is to get a baby syringe(the kind you give medicine with) and fill it with clean brake fluid, take out the bleeder and fill the caliper before you start trying to bleed the system.Saves a lot of time not having to push all of the fluid through the system.
