changing ball joints

changing ball joints

i need to change one of my ball joints because th boot ripped. i have heard that you can grind the head off of the rivets and then press them out. i tried doing this and i couldnt get the rivits to press out. anyone have any helpful tips for me?

i ground the heads off like he mentions and tried to press them out, they didnt budge at all!
