coilovers or springs?

well I have an 08 LT and I want to lower it bad , it's like it's on stilts or something. I just am worried about ruining the stock strut/ all the other **** it ***** up .... I mean I know coilovers are better but I was just wondering , I only plan to keep this car for about 30,000 miles and right now it has 450 on it , and the amount that I drive It will take 2-3 years to accumulate 30000 miles, so based on that do you guys think I would be ok with some sportlines? or should I wait and save for coilovers? and will coilovers **** anything up like springs will? thanks in advance.

Zach

Might make it, might blow the struts. Everything else will be fine though.

I'd just keep my eyes peeled for springs and struts from the SS, you can find them cheap in the classifieds section or on ebay fairly often.

without changing the struts u will at some point blow ur shocks. I am installing my konis and sportlines tonight, ill comment after the install, but i hear all good things from everyone on here who has them. Coilovers are more expensive and unnecessary unless you race the thing at the track or autocross and can benefit from a truly custom suspension setup.

This is what I'm doing, with the sportlines, I'm going to buy some FE5 struts.

If you're going to be racing the damn thing, then you should get coilovers.
