does this sound right?

i took my car into the dealer for 2 things.

first was when i turn at slow speeds my steering makes a squealing sound. put it only does it every so often.

sec was when im driveing on uneven payment i cant a clunking sound in the steering.

they called me and told me i need front struts. that they were getting weak. is that right? im not paying for it i have till 78k till im out of warrenty and it has 30k on it now. im thinking theres something else wrong and they dont want to fix it. because he also said my sway bar bushing is bad.

hm...well as long as its all under warranty then you're good. i would have the explain what happened or what caused it for the future.

What caused it? **** BREAKS. Learn it, live it, love it.

Seriously, if its going to get fixed for free, get it fixed. Not everything has a cause that is easy to determine in the garage, not everything needs a detailed failure mode report. Sometimes, and when i say sometimes I mean a lot of the time........**** just breaks and/or wears out, prematurely, for no reason whatsoever.....thats why we have warranties.

I took my car in at around 35k and said I was getting a crunch sound from the front of the car (think it was just cold shocks/struts over bumps), but under warranty they give me new struts, strut mounts, bearings and one other thing. Also a free alignment. So that was nice hah.

there should be visible tool marks on the fasteners, and the top nut on the strut should be shiny and brand new.
