EBC Rear Pad Issue

I had purchased the Ultimax EBC rear rotors and Red Stuff rear pads to replace the worn factory components on the balt.

Install was easy on the passenger side, however on the driver side the second I pulled the wheel off I saw whoever replaced the rear caliper only tightened 1 slide pin bolt and the other was half out, both were seized. Finally got everything apart, fixed all the threads and got everything together and the wheel wouldn't spin. It was binding up on something, so I replaced the caliper, no change, replaced the line no change.

We noticed the inside pad was not sitting flush after looking at every square mm closely, pulled the pad out and noticed 3 nubs that align the shim. The outer nubs fit into the cutouts on the twist piston and the center nub sits in the center not allowing the pad to sit flush and made it wobble. Once we ground that down everything worked like a charm.

Has anyone else had this issue?

(we also tried flipping all the pads around and that didn't help either (before grinding nub)
