eibachs bad for stock struts?
eibachs bad for stock struts?
hey im just wondering if anyone on this site has had problems with their struts after putting in their eibach sportlines??? i have an 05 ss/sc which im going to be lowering in the next few weeks and just wondering if i have anything else to worry about as i do it other then an alignment asap.
i did H&R lowering, and got an alignment, no caster/camber was changed. just positive ote on one wheel, and negative toe on the other, which means they re centered the stering wheel. get it done, and look at the sheet, youll see.

My alignment was 1 tire that was very minimally toe out. It almost didn't even need an alignment. Maybe they are worried you will do the alignment somewhere else if you left without getting it.
lol no b/c they dont do alignments, just custom work and stuff like this but no alignments or oil changes and etc...and the dealership said the same thing...oh what does "the eibachs bind from time to time" mean?
im taking out my HR's and going back to stock height, too many bad roads here, and i start teachin kids to driv in a couple months. If it stays low, ill be without a bumper heh.
i love the look, and the cornering, but i dont car for the limited uspension travel.
P.S. I'll be sellingmy springs to canadian near you, soon!

i don't know about canada, but around here, if you take your car to get an alignment, most guys will just set the toe on your car and ship it, whether you need caster/camber adjustments or not. It only if you come back complaining of it pulling to one side will they make other adjustments. Of course, I'm talking about chain stores that do tires/alignment/suspension work. It depends on what kind of shop you go to. When I worked at a dealership, I always tried to get everything into specs as close to the middle of the range as possible.
i take the printout, and see what spec calls for, what the actual measurements are, and what they were changed too. a real good front end guy can set up a front end using spec as a guidline and make changes that suit your driving style. a dealer will not make any changes if the setting is within spec. my father has an alignment rack in lethbridge, but its too far fo me to go for an alignment. next time im there, we shall tweak my steering.
I've had my Sportlines on for quite some time now, and I live down a gravel road thats basically just one giant pothole, and i've had no problems yet. Well, with the exception of bottoming out on piles of ice/snow when it snows outside.
