Klunk

so yeah I have noticed my front suspension sounds like 'Klunk' when I go over pot holes one tire at a time. if both tires go over a bump I don't hear it ... is my suspension damaged or is this a known issue??

bump i mean klunk

i had a car that did that and it turned out to be a ball joint. Just another possibility. To don't know for sure your probably going to have to have someone inspect it.

it has noting to do with off roading, sometimes they just break down. the ball joint is another possibility i didn't think of that.

you mean a clunk not a 'klunk' right?

Probably your intermediate steering shaft if you're feeling it in the steering wheel.

my 3000gt had a similar issue and it only happens on the rebound of the suspension ... it can take speed bumps all day because the bound happens first. I will take it in but just trying to get some ideas ... im sure it is a warrenty fix

well the steering wheel has some slight feel of it but mostly just the sounds from the suspension is what I hear ... it is faint and not noticable unless your paying attention which is why i hadn't noticed it until recently

If its not very noticeable I would rule out the ball joint. The sound from that would be pretty loud.

whats your mileage? Do you ever hear a squeak over certain speed bumps too? My car is doing this....more and more, so I finally took it to my mechanic.

He thought it would be the bushings needing some lube (I live in the salted raods belt). Anyway, turns out it is the struts....they are going and I need new ones.

I am at 75 000KM (40 000miles)
