is this guy bullsh--ing me?

I went to go get a re-alignment b/c my steering wheel wasnt centered and i told him it was pulling to the right....he said it was pulling cuz i have to get new tires? that one of them is bad or something? i have never heard of a "bad" tire that makes your car pull to the left or right....is he telling me the truth or does he just want me to buy new tires? This was at a tirechoice by the way...

its possible that one of your tires on one side are worn like **** and the other is in better shape. if thats the case most of the time thats caused by a bad alignment ha. so im guessing he's being lazy

Get a 2nd opinion just to be sure. But yes, a bad tire can cause the car to pull. And one tire goes bad typically due to a bad alignment. But get it looked at by someone use to make sure

yea i would to. but u can probobly look at ur tires urself. u can tell if the tread is lower on one tire than another. ha if it isnt a bid difference then he's bsin u into buying tires and then comming back afterward because ur alignment is messed up. either that or bring it back and tell then you want an alignment not a diagnosis of your tires.

tire could be bad from the wheel not being properly balanced. Did you get your wheels rebalanced after painting them? You wouldn't think it but that can have an affect on them.

it definitely car ur right. but wat kindof worker doesnt balance a tire when puttin a tire on the wheel... ha thats a good point tho. maybe he messed with the measurements of the wheel or something on the balancing machine.

well there's a lot of people out there that paint their wheels while the tires are on them and don't get them balanced afterwards.

A tire can completely make a vehicle pull. feathered wear because of toe issues can make it pull. try rotating your fronts and see if it pulls the other way then you will know if its a tire problem

ive heard of tire pull. i've actually had it before. http://gyazo.com/76316cd15afc9e65234cde1f430087bf.png
caused by an extreme toe issue. you were probably off by at least 1/2" if it looks anything like this. and this is about this example is the only way youll really notice tire pull. ask for a print out, if he doesnt wanna be an honest bro-dude then take his ass to small claims court and blame him for your worn tires.

90% of vehicle pulls and vibrations are tire related.

Im just gunna say, when I rotated my tires my passenger front tire was worn the most. There's a lot of roundabouts where I live. Lol. No alignment problems.

your a belt in the tire could be shifted causing it to pull.

theres a chance he's b/s ing you, but theres also a good chance hes right.

this, had a belt in a tire stretch or break (dont know which) wore the inside of the tire to bald while the outside still had 5/16. also leaving your tires under or over inflated for to long can cause odd wear patterns. just put your fronts on the back and see if that helps out, and replace the tire if it is messed up most tire companies will compensate you for the life left in the mile warranty (e.i. if it has 25k on a 50k tire they give you half the cost of the tire)

an open diff can cause excessive tire wear to a single tire too
