H&R Springs ISSUES

I have a pretty rough grinding sound coming from my right front wheel area when I make left turns. The dealership is saying that it's because the car's been lowered...anyone else have H&R springs? Are any of you having issues with them???

Could be from your dampner.

take a look at your tires maybe it them, or it could be a wheel bearing. hard to say with out driving in it.

I will put money on it that the tire is rubbing on the wheel well. I had the same problem with mine until i went to a lower profile tire. Then i got rid of them for coilovers.

Same here i got rid of my h&r's for coilovers. I just had rubbing when turning going fast and when making sharp turns it rubbed the fender well.

amazing that is rubbed just because it is lowered. that means there could be rub with stock suspension as well. you not cutting bump stops or change the supension geometry and that would be my arguement with the dealer.

I just installed my H&R's yestarday and my tires rub as well, but the weird thing is that I'm feeling a weird wabbling/vibation in the front when accelerating now.

Everyone that got h&r's has had that problem, its cause the car is sitting lower and changes the angle of the axels. I had the very same problem. it did get alittle better when it put on the engine dampner, but was still there. But since i put coilovers in it has stopped.

Can you show us a picture of this cause it does not make sense to me as described. I believe something is hitting and it may very well be the parts you say it is but I have a had time understanding how this could be possible. If it is not too much trouble please post a Pic. thanks/

Is this something I should worry about and fix cause I don't want to replace/damage my axels just by having my car lowered

Ii dont think that you will damage anything, its just a pain in the ass. For me it just bothered me enough that i went to coilovers. Besides with those springs i was cutting my rear tire cause i was bottoming out when i hit bumps.

it seems like only the ss/sc have problems with the vibrations.. i don't hear of the regular cobalts having problems with vibrations.

it sure the hell seems that way. But with coilovers, i sit a little bit higher and it makes a difference.
