How long will factory struts hold up?

I'm looking at buying some Eibach Sportlines for my 2.2. But I don't know how long the struts will hold up before replacing them with the Koni aftermarket's. Anyone have any idea, or experienced any problems with the springs and/or struts?

If I'm worried about struts for my 2.2, should I go with the Pro kit instead?
Any info/ideas/suggestions would be appreciated...

Please try a search before making a new thread. There are many threads already on this topic.

We have yet to see reports of people having to replace their struts due to spring changes. I have Prokits and they so far have been perfectly fine after more then a year. You can replace your struts with FE5's rather then Konis when the time comes.

Believe me, I tried a search. But no one has ever brought up the topic on exactly how long they will last BEFORE they crap out.

Good to know. Thanks again, Halfcent.

I've had my car on Sprints for about 30K...

if you've got the money honestly just upgrade because the ride quality will be much improved a long with better handling.

i would say my struts are wearing down but they're still driveable and not noticeably bouncier...but still I would and plan to upgrade.

they will last till they don't work any more. then you will need new ones.

I'm hoping mine go out about the time bilstein comes out with a set.

I doubt you've seen me. Cuz if I saw your car, I definitely would've remembered.

I plan to upgrade. But I won't until I'm sure I NEED to...preferably before the struts fall apart, or at its breaking point.
