now im confused...if i have a 5x100 how the hell were they on there? are yall sure that all cobalts come with a 5x100? or mabey im wrong and the evo has a 5x100....then i would feel dumb lol
evo is 5x114.3 there is a 5x114.3 conversion you can do for your cobalt. i forget what GM vehicle runs that bolt pattern tho. ask LS1Fbody, he has the conversion finished and is running 19" drag wheels in a 5x114.3 bolt pattern

anyone know of any oem parts available for an independent rear? I doubt j-bodies have anything but just in case I missed something. either that or I'm just gonna sell this thing. getting sick of the cheesy stance.

^nice look, not into the zetec cars but it looks dope.

got an idea. I have a jaguar rear that originally had 375 gears and inner mounted disc brakes. my pops junked the diff on me cuz he doesn't know **** about cars and sucks dick for a living (also junked a ford 9" and 76 cragar ss's 11 wide on me the ****** dick) but I figured with heavyyyy modification and removing the axles I can get this thing in the rear of my balt. it's also a good head start at getting a rwd conversion up in the air! all I'd need is some sheet metal and a solstice tranny (and...a lot of other **** of course) but it's not looking like such a bad idea! here's a picture of the rear:

mine's about as dirty, but with a lot of prepping and painting it should look ready for an 06
looks like it's actually dependent on the axles to hold weight, but I'll figure something out for that since the axles will be "dead".
notice the dual mcpherson style struts on either side, this should be fun.
then ladies and gentlemen, with the unbelievable amount of head room with camber adjustment with this rear, I shall be tucked and stylin'

oh it'll be a long ongoing project. I have my sister's mini til january so hopefully I finish it by then. only thing I haven't figured out yet is how I'm getting my stock wheels on those jag hubs in the mean time.

I'm sure something will go wrong. I'm actually working on the rear right now. I'll post some pics after a bit of welding and stuff.

Thats not a zetec. it had the 2.5L v6 then I swapped in the contour 2.5L v6 SVT and fully built it.

ok so I figured this out, if I fabricate mounts to the hubs for the coils I can mount directly to the existing frame etc. awesome stuff. ^^^^^ and that my friend is a very well done tc. make it lay frame and hide the tires lol
