I'm kidding because I don't have the money for it right now. I need to get my suspension fixed, but I can't justify spending up to $600 for new struts, shocks, top mounts, bump stops (yes I want to replace my cut ones with new ones since I went from Sportlines to Pedders), and whatever else I can't think of at the moment...or more if I go Koni Yellow...when I can say **** it and spend a grand on these.

Just need some damn money...wheel bearings first, then coilovers along with new front sway that's been in the garage for a year waiting to go on.

I read this thread.
Seems everyone is getting these to get lowered and care more about how their ride looks.

Anyone going for more of a drag type setup to get a better launch?

Interested in hearing more from people that are actually about speed more then look.

Anyone?

Get a good stiff set of springs and Koni rears...maybe add footballs to the rear springs if you're looking for something that doesn't squat too much in the rear.

Most people want low, not all.

I want lower than Pedders, but equal or better handling. And now I've found out that Powell is supposed to be releasing a spring that is exactly what myself and others are hoping for so I may say forget coilovers and stick with springs.

I bought mine for the adjustability. I wanted to be low but i also wanted a decent setup for the track (drag) So when that time comes, ill raise up the rear and stiffen the rear shocks. Come winter time, raise up all 4 corners.

I asked the drag racer known for getting the best times with our cars and he suggested to go with coilovers, but he couldn't suggest any as his set up was completely custom.

As far as handling goes, word of mouth has been that the kw variant 2's are one of the best, so if you were auto x-ing all the time they would be a good setup. As far as the strip? Haha I have no clue, most people on here just go for looks, I haven't even heard about anyone with coils dragging.

I was looking at the kw variant 2's, but I don't think you can set those as high as others.

Just trying to bump every now and then to get try to catch different people at different times. Figured some people here must have bought some for that purpose and could give input. was hoping to hear from John Powell or someone perhaps on the subject of which coil overs would be best for drag.

So which can be the tallest in the rear, strongest stiffest for coilovers?

you can adjust height, but you have to remove the bottom of the strut. You can leave the camber plate bolted in.

the bottom is bolted to the control arm by 2 bolts

so twisting that **** wouldnt work

sure u can keep it hooked up to the sway bar and the top of the strut

still have to hammer out the 2 pressed bolts each time

i guess i thought you could just twist the rings and lower the spring, but you have to twist the strut to raise it into the spring?
