OK...i should have believed guys saying 'you get what you pay for'. I love the look of my 06 ls lowered...but these spring ride like fat girl on a saturday night! It's so bumpy until i'm considering putting the stock springs back on. So i finally had enough time to at least look at the rear springs and see how they're holding up and all i see is 2 coils on the top...and 4 coils all compressed on the bottom. I was like WTF lol. Did i install them backwards or should the bottom coils be resting all compressed with no give what so ever???

That's plain and simple coil bind, that's how those lowering springs go lower and give a progressive spring rate. Pretty much all the drop springs do it.

Hehehe I think i just started a price war! But really, i figured a spring can produce a reasonable drop without coil binding and producing a bad ride. So your tryin to tell me all drop springs achieve the 2 inch drop this way?!? FYI...i did change the shocks to gabriels when i did the spring install. It does corner a hell of a lot better than stock fe1 but thats about it. It just seems like if i went even stiffer on the shocks...the ride would just turn out being even worse. Would an adjustable shock improve the ride some??
