Potholes EVERYWHERE

Hi, I have a 2009 2.2 LAP
176,100+ miles
I have replaced my shocks/struts before with the autozone brand, Gabriel I believe.
I'm on the road a lot for work, 50k+ miles last year...
but my entire city is one huge pothole...ok not really...but you can't really go to anywhere from anywhere without encountering at least 5 lets put in that way...lol
so I don't need to be scraping the ground...
I already have enough issues pulling out of steep drives and scraping the front.
Is there an OEM height, with a more sporty feel?

I have never replaced my SPRINGS I just opted for the shock/struts cuz it was cheap.

Can I change just the springs if the shocks are in good condition?

I have looked over multiple threads I just can't decide lol

Would anyone recommend anything specific? Feel free to ask me more questions if it would help...

whole miles!!!

your best bet would probably be YYZ springs by Powell. The are closest to stock ride height and will give you that "sporty" feel

YYZ and SSC's are the Closest to stock feel. From what I hear YYZ is slightly better. I'm not a nut swinger so I'm not going to tell you which. That's just from the other thread I've read.

Very nice! I like this idea.

Tell me more about this Street Bar :-) is this like a Strut Bar? Cuz I was trying to find a cheap yet GOOD one of those too...

and being a 2.2 LAP... I have FE3? SS has FE5? or do I have it all wrong

I like the YYZ springs based on this post from the HHR Forum ironically...

i'll get some updated photos when the weather clears up now that i've had them on for about a month, i think they look great and the handling is amazing. oh and i have no issues going over the speed bumps in my neighborhood.

YYZ > ALL

You have FE1 now. FE3 came on 06-08 LE5 cars (SS/NA and Sport). LNF and LSJ SS's have FE5.

Street bar is a 1 inch rear sway bar, hardcore is 1.25, and they have a XXX that's 1.5 inch. Contact Powell Race Parts, John or Gloria can hook you up
