i have the ss with the 2.4L engine and my brakes have a case of loud squeaking when i try to come to a stop and it happens everytime i brake. they've been squeaking since november. my mechanic sent me a little reminder card over the summer saying that i need new rotors so i'm wondering that after months of putting the rotor thing off, are the rotors the cause of my squeaky brakes or are my brakes squeaking because they or my brake pads need replacement? if i need to replace any of these things how much will it cost me for each item that needs to be replaced? my dad always helps me with these issues but he's in florida and hasn't driven my car in so long so i don't think it would help to ask him so if someone could please answer any of those questions that would be awesome! thanks

 

Probably needs new brake pads . Would also replace the rotors as well since it's not great to use new pads on old rotors. For like the cheapest OEM rotors and pads for the front it's going to be about 70-80$ and your rear brakes might need to be replaced as well.
