I'm going to skip the rear bar for the Cobalt. I'm not a big fan of the design.

Let's see your genius sway bar design for the lolz. The only other way to make one is remove the stock one and build another in.

I'm going to just keep it stock. I have a 09 SS/TC (LNF) so the handling isn't bad as-is. I was just looking to reduce the understeer a tad more, but I'm not impressed with paying nearly $260 for 1 bar and a pair of brackets when I just paid $360 for a full front/rear adjustable sway bar kit for my 07 Mustang GT - but that is just the bang/buck aspect.

It looks like the twisting forces would really act on the bolts that go through the OTTP rear bar, with the bolt heads exposed and the bar sitting a bit closer to the road. I know plenty of people here run that bar and love it, but it's not for me.

i guarentee if you put it on your car you wont have issues. ill sell you mine for a good price when the xxx bar comes out because with sticky tires i feel that is the ultimate bar.

you need to understand the cost of it. german made chrome moly steel, tubing bender, design, powdercoating, etc etc. there really no other way to build a sway bar for this car except for removing the stock one and building one in like the time attack cars. that is costly....1800+shipping for an entirely redone twisting beam i think it is...might even be more then that.

soryr man i have a saleen, i have a camro, etc etc. to have the anti wheel hop bar(which takes place of the sway bar on the rear drag purpose only) it was an addition 320.00 MY COST it sells for 399 as an add on options.......

heres a similar bar for an fbody by umi......$389...take away the little extras its almost the same. same diameter and all......
82-02 GM F-Body Rear Drag Sway Bar – 3” Axle Tubes [2245-300] - $389.99 : UMI Performance, Inc.

i understand what your saying but believe me for god parts you pay the cash. like i said when mines up for sale ill cut you a good deal so you can have a good bar and reduce that understeer you want gone.

you think your car handles ok/good stock? ohhh man just wait till you get some suspension mods. I had a hardcore bar and thought it was great. Then got the prototype powell hardcore harness bar (solid 1 piece), @#$@#$#$ my car is amazing now no body roll, car is stiff like a gokart..oh god it just gets me going just thinking about it.

Just ordered the 1" Street bar in Red from John. He's trying to get it to me by Friday for a meet. It was a bit more than what OTTP lists but apparently he doesn't have any shipping issues like OTTP does?
