spring drop rates

Just a question, probably more of a preference really, but i've noticed that the majority of the drop rates for lowering springs out there are rated lower in the rear than the front to level out the car. I for some reason am a fan of keeping the slight angle that it has and have only found a handfull of springs that would do that. any real reason to that or is it just for looks? and what do you prefer?

better weight distribution, front wheel drive cars are notoriously nose heavy. drop the rear more than the front and while its still nose heavy its not as nose heavy.
