ss/sc ebc green stuff pads installed

i ordered the ebc g.s. pads from auto parts warehouse about a month ago but they lied about having them. it took a week for me to figure out they didnt have them at which time i called them for a refund, they told me it would be about 21 days before the money was refunded to my card. i needed them really bad cuz the pad lining seperated from the metal backing. but anyway i was going to call them today about my refund but when i got home ups left a ebc box, i was pretty heated because i told them i wanted a refund,so i opened it up and on the side it said 2003 chevy malibu / 2004 pontiac G6 so i took the pads up to auto zone and they matched up to the ss pads but i still had doubt. i went to install them and they fit perfect . quick break in and strong bite made me glad i decieded to give them a try. i havent had a chance to stop really hard yet but i like them so far!

i read a couple of post that said these pads were not out yet thats why i posted this. maybe they just got released or maybe i just got lucky..........who know

i may go back to auto zone tomorrow and see if the G6 and the ss use the same pad

Yeah one thing from experience EBC have a VERY high friction coefficient and tend to warp rotors easily.

Power slot does offer a set of front and rear rotors for the cobalt SS, we have sold many sets and have heard great remarks about them.

Yes power slot rotors are good, but still be aware of those EBC pads.

Thanks... I was just going to call Summit about the pads, and was wondering what everyone thought of them...was going to post a "how do you guys like them..." kinda post.

Those stock rotors warp easy enough... not going to help the cuase.

Not bothering with the slotted / drilled rotors as well.

Have to go another rtoue I guess.

The G6 and Malibu do use the same pads. They also share the same 5 bolt pattern...if I wanted to I could actually swap my fiance's 18s off of her G6 Convertible and put them on my Redline...
