Picked them up at Advance Auto the other day.

They are a solid bushing compared to the stock ones which have air voids.

I have MOOG sway bar endlinks, and they work great, so I figured I give their CABs a try.

is your ride any less clunky?

the stiffness i'm ok with... but the crashing creaking clunking sounds not so much

I've been reading good comments on Koni Strut/Shocks, would you guys recommend that I get a suspension package like THIS.

I haven't installed the CAB's yet. Just got them two days ago.

My car seems to only clunk on damp rainy days.

Installed the endlinks last June, and that took away most of the clunking, but I still have some. That's when I knew it was time to replace the CAB's.

I only have 47k on my struts and shocks.....

My springs are basically brand new (Eibach Pro's), and I replaced the endlinks.... The only thing left would be the cabs.

But you're right.... we will see. If anything, they will def improve suspension performace being a solid bushing. Prob give a tighter more precise feel.

Yeah, I felt a slight improvement with the MOOG endlinks.

I like the fact you can grease them

i haven't heard of too many people using that package... not to say its a bad package though. like some have said if your looking to improve ride quality either replace with stock/moog components, or even downgrade of base model cobalt stuff.

side note, that is a decent deal for a set of coilovers. good for turns and stuff

(07MetallicSC) has the koni yellows. They are a great setup, but the fronts need to be modified to work on the Cobalt.

I'm going to get the Koni yellow rears when I get some extra funds.

I like the fact that they are adjustable. Tighten up the rear for less squat on launch.

^exactly! i'm doing the full set probly when my tax return check arrives... *cough cough*

when it comes to modifying those strut caps, what is it, just drilling them out some so you can reach the adjusters?

i think i'ma keep them all the way soft for daily driving

Yeah, something like u use part of your old strut housing.

The instructions are on ZZP's site.

I just did a new FE5 on my TC when I did my whole suspension include Swaybar links (MOOG). It made a world of difference. I would say ever 70-80K you should replace your shocks and struts. My springs are sportlines. The ride is fine unless you like to go over speed bumps. The rear has practically no play. It's pretty stiff in the back. That's my 2cents.

They are rebound adjustable, bump damping remains the same as stock and isn't adjustable. Besides squat and dive are MAINLY functions of the spring rate, not so much the dampers

Is there any brand of rear shock that's overall just more stiff/able to limit how far the car drops?

I'm on bags n can't rely on springs

Thank you for making that clear.

I'm an engine guru not suspension. Still learning....

ss s/c is just as easy to drive as my tc was, first can be a biotch but like any car you get used to it. Still takes me a week or so to get used to my car again after driving my winter beater.
