That is not exactly correct. While they are the same diameter, the bars themselves are a different shape. The turbo engined bars have a couple extra bends in them to make clearance for the turbo.

Not entirely correct, what you said above it true though, but the ends of the bars are shaped different so that the endlinks are better aligned creating better steering response as well as creating a smoother more linear weight transfer.

Yes, it would. but, its not as crucial as it sounds. On an ls, with LS struts, and aftermarket springs (my guess at your setup) i doubt the difference would be noticeable.

Ive had both bars, on the street with a mostly LS car you will mnever tell thwe difference in my opinion, its not worth the extra money unless youre building the whole package.

what a great thread...

ok so let me get this straight

i have an 08 G5GT aka FE3. If i wanted to upgrade to the LNJ LE5 front sway bar all i would need would be the new bushings/Clamps and the bar ccorrect? no need for new endlinks as this should botl right into the FE3. Being that i have an 08 no need to worry about getting one bolt clamps, as i should have 2 bolt.

so part numbers needed to order are the following

2 x Clamps 10389617
1 x sway bar 15821093
2 x bushings 15822993

once again no need or gain for new endlinks correct. i hope i got this right and didnt noob out

You actually should have the same links, and clamps as the FE1 cars. You dont NEED FE5 links buy you should get them, you also wont be able to use those bushings or clamps if youve got a 1 bolt/1 tab clamp like I think you do. Youll need the 2005 SS FE5 bushings.

Fixed. You dont need clamps....youve already got them. Just bushings and the bar. I would recommend the endlinks but they arent required

FE5 links are shorter, and less likely to flex.

Nope, All G5 GTs are FE3.(even the new 2.2 ones. BUT you did get the last one with 296mm front brakes!)

does it matter what year end links i used as long as they are FE5?

edit

rereading the post it appears all FE5 endlinks are the same

ok last post, just want to make sure i got this all right before i go to the delaer and order parts.

my car is 08 FE3 which uses 1 bolt bushing clamps i

Ineed to order the following

2x Insulators: 22700091 (05 FE5 which work with One bolt clamps)
1x Sway Bar: 15821093 (all years of FE5 use the same Sway bar)
optional but i will get as long as they fit n work
2x Endlinks: 20784688 (all years of the FE5 use the same end links

and i can safely tell the dealer this parts will be direct plug and play with my 08 G5 GT with the FE3 set up

I have a question, im thinking putting the eibach sway bar kit without lowering the car. Is that recommended or do i need to lower the car first? (i like the car that way it is)
also i read (not sure) that if i were to put them i only need to put the rear one.
please any comments, reference or information would be appreciate.
thank you

another question which one is the one for my car? 2007 2.4L
im looking a lot of different parts number from eibach
-899.312 dont know
-899.310 i think is the front only
-899.320 Kit i think

http://www.ottperformance.com/advanc...=15&search.y=7
dont know if this information is correct. please confirm
thank you
