Just wanted to let you guys know that Im working on an update to the original post with links to suporting venders sites along with pics fron there sites for several of that parts listed.
Its not done yet but I hope to have it done in a few days time.

2 Questions...
First, I have a Base Model Cobalt, will the front swaybar from the SS (FE5 Suspension) bolt right up to my car? The bar and the clamps are pretty cheap on CrateEngineDepot.com.
Second, If I get the SS front swaybar will I need to upgrade to a rear bar such as the Progress bar as well? I know it'd be ideal to have both front and rear bars, but would be suspension be seriously thrown off with only a front bar? The SS/SC's run with only a front bar, but then again they are running on an entirely different suspension.

I'm old school
You can in fact upgrade to the FE3 or FE5 suspension parts from an FE1. All of them actually is you wanted. Not just the sway bar, but the aluminum control arms, the SS struts (which work great with Eibach pro-kits by the way), whatever.
You don't have to upgrade the rears as well, but yes, it is advisable. The out of balance suspension will cause undesired performance, especially in turns.

The SS has a rear bar welded in the the cross beam to aid in stiffining the rear up to match the front bar.
If you dont add a rear bar the car will push in a corner vary hard and will most likely slow you down without the rear bar.
And as said above all parts are bolt on an go.

has anyone ordered the dc strut bar from cobalt addiction, if so how long did it take to ship, and how fast did they ship the bar out (next day, couple days, weeks???), and did u place the order or did u email them?

when you say prevent toe changes under hard acceleration and cornering do you mean when this happends it stays this way untill a alignment is done or do thi shappen only at hard corners then when your done the corner it's back to normal.

When the suspension moves threw its motion of range there are changes in toe and camber angle. They go back to what they where set at when the suspension returns to its normal state.

Nothing is mentioned about average life of stock struts and shocks when your car is lowered. Whats the avg life after installing lowering springs on stock struts & shocks?

I have a question for Monkey. I was thinking about getting the Eibach sport lines on my 2.4 SS but, would I need to buy 2 camber kits so the toe and alignment could be corrected or is that not true? Reason being is because I was told to buy the camber kits because they are a very important part when lowering the car with a new suspension. I was curious cause when somebody posts about lowering their car nobody seems to mention anything about it.

Also after reading through this thread I take on my ss/sc I can put the eibach sportline springs on without killing the stock struts and shocks? 1" front and 1.3" rear is what Eibach claims on their website for the ss/sc
In another thread I was enlighted to the Koni's being out for the Cobalt/G5/Ion. Any feedback on this strut/shock kit? Who has the best rate?

Camber kits
Please anyone with the information could you please tell me if I need a camber kit for my 2.4 SS if I get the eibach sport lines? Like I said it seems to be very important but I can't ever seem to get much info about it.

i'm looking into buying some springs to lower my LS, an i have 18 inch rims w/ 225/45 tires, i'm not sure if the eibach sportlines or the prokit would be best for me. also i'm curious as why all of the springs have the rear springs lowering the car more than the front?

You don't need struts to lower your car. Just springs. However, you can use FE5 struts on your LS. You don't need to, but when it comes time to replace them, it is an option that you can consider.

Whats the difference in functionality between a strut bar and a sway bar? If I want to slap a rear sway bar (25.4mm from TTR) on my LS, I know I should get a front sway bar as well (only ones I know of are the FE5 24mm and Suspension Techniques 22mm), but can I just use a strut bar for the front instead?

What is wrong with questions? I understand the answer is in the novel you wrote, but i don't want to read a novel to find out a single answer to something that might be in there or not, so why isn't this site more about being a community and helping each other out regardless of what they have for a question?
