T/C Shocks and Struts vs Konis?

Ok after doing a bit of searching i haven't found an answer to my question yet so which does everyone think would be the better performance choice for a 2.2 with progress lowering springs. It is not auto crossed just aggresively driven on back roads. Is one really better than the other or not? Also will the T/C Shocks and struts bolt up direct to an Ls or do they need modification to fit?

And finally replacing the shocks and struts with either of these options should not raise or lower the ride height correct?

Konis are nice but I would personally go with the TC shocks/struts. They bolt up exactly like yours do. The konis are nice but twice the price and I had them on the G5 I had before the Cobalt and I had progress springs the car handled great. Plus adjusting the rear shocks sucks because you have to take the bolt out of the shock to turn it. The fronts I didnt think fit as well as stock built shocks do.

I run the LNF stuff on my car. Koni has high quality stuff but I dont like having to cut apart my struts to install things, and I dont like the way Konis ride.

go to crateenginedepot they have them or go to a dealer. I just got some not too long ago I'm pairing them with some pedders. There's a guy in my area that goes to the track often and swears by that combo so I'm giving it a try

I'd go with the LNF set up. Heres a link to them if you still need it.

A question that might help us both is do you need anything besides the shocks and struts or can you buy that package and install it with your factory parts the reason p ask is they have a strut bracket for sale do you have to have it?

All you need are the TC front struts and rear shocks. Everything else will bolt right up.

had my konis for 2 years on H&R sport springs and wouldnt change it. and its not hard to adjust the backs. you set them before you put them in. EVEN if you dont like it it takes 10 mins to take out adjust and put in. 10 mins thats it. Konis got my vote

as opposed to KYB AGX's which are half the cost, provide the same performance, and are adjustable without removing crap.

till KYB releases AGX's for the Cobalt, SS/TC FE5 FTW.
