Just sayin' so dont take offense anyone, torque the rack bolts when you put them in just dont do it sloppy its your steering.Steering is critically important, thats why spacers are T6061 machined, not a home depot cut off with a hole in it.

Maven, Qwik. hell at your nearest track.

hooray for better handling. It would be awesome to have a car that handles as well as the Time Attack Car, but rides well on the street.

Would these benefit the stock suspension at all, or is this primarily geared towards lowered applications?

K I'm sold then. I hate bump steer. Hopefully OTT will offer this as a dropdown option when they release the new rotated mounts.

So, does that mean it will benefit cars with stock suspension? Just wondering. Personally I don't feel the stock TC had that much bump steer in stock trim.

Well the TC doesnt suffer to the exact same degree from bump steer as the SCs and others do, due to its shorter steering arms and slightly longer overall tie rod length(its minimal but is longer), but it still absolutely can benefit from spacing the rack.

Bump steer is when your wheels turn themselves as ithey travel up and down, regardless of how you turn the steering wheel.

Cobalts have a tendency(designed in to all Cobalts, a compromise as all production cars have) To turn the wheel farther "in" when the suspension is compressed, and to turn it farther out when suspension extends(rebounds) This affects the cars ability to turn(by changing ackerman, we dont need to discuss it...just know it changes) and it also cause additional tire wear(outside edge, just like having too much toe-in)

Raising the rack helps to alleviate this concern.
Oh so that's why my wheels turn! I thought there was something wrong with my alignment or brakes!

I don't recall have any bump steer problems at the road course (I do drive her hard).... but, if it makes turning better.... I could be sold in a heartbeat!!!!

Maven.... thanks for all the good tech stuff you're putting out here

Well since the proverbial cat is out of the bag...........

I am testing 2nd gen Time Attack lower control arms. They are street friendly race-ready lower control arms.
