Why is all the good/cool **** coming out now that I'm ready to sell my car. I guuueeeesss I'll keep it.

 

Well lets put it this way....I get paid 1 hour by GM to replace the entire steering rack. All you have to do here is remove 2 bolts, insert the spacers and reinstall the to bolts to specification. Not including jacking up car its probably no more than a 15 minute job for anyone with a ratcheting wrench.(plus goping to shop to get toe checked/set as necessary)

Yeah, but we are talking about OTTP here, not some rinky-dink, roundyround racers like RCR.

You mean one where you only get paid for work you do and you have to put in air filters for free?(yes even on LSJ's)

Or one where 78 yr old men who are driving their first ever diesel truck tell you theyve "been around a long time sonny and aint no diesel I ever seen blows smoke"

 

Cant wait to get these. My suspension is getting a complete make over come spring. My stock **** is blown out so I will be going Koni and these will go nicely with them.

i have a question. qwik you said we need angled engine mounts....do we HAVE to have them or are they just to further the gains?

 

i get nervous lifting the rack because it makes for minimal clearance rack housingn to the rear mount. Both the rack and the mount housing are fixed in space and dont move, but....you know.....if you do the rotated mounts the rear raises a bunch making the rack clearance issue no concern.

+ rotated mounts are like rack shims, the car is a whole lot nicer to drive. Shabodah was the first to drive my mounts and he said it best roughly like this : "I am no longer nervous to get on the gas when i want..."

 

so basically somewhat just for further performance
