I might have missed it, I have searched, but has anybody posted the steering rack bolts torque specs? I have looked in the torque spec list I have and the rack is not listed. I want to make sure I get it right when I install these I don't need the rack coming loose. Also are the stock bolts long enough with the spacers installed? Is there still plenty of threads in the subframe?
Thanks for the help.

Ok to kinds bring this back from the dead, while I was doing an oil change last week I noticed that the rack and rear motor mount in its stock setup dosnt have a lot of clearance. I was thinking of getting these spacers but dont want to run into any clearance issues or have to then pick up new motor mounts just to make theses work.

No to be rude but if you dont mind the vibration you got from your set up, why care about a little bump steer? You dont need to worry with stock mounts anyway, but you dont have stock mounts so I cant advise you...What you really should do is get Stage 1 rotated mounts from Josh at OTTP and the spacers and re-discover your car without vibrations and hop and bump steer...usual disclaimers....

Your not being rude, but I do have the stock mounts, just with poly inserts. And i wasnt concerned with the vibration, Not really any at all, I was wanting to know of any clearance issues between the rack w/the spacers and the rear mount. Since as I said it appears to be little room between the rack and the rear mount in its unspaced setup.
I know if the rack is raised back up, and the tie rods are near there stock geometry then the steering response will be better.

okay stock mounts, its tight but there is room. Mount itself doesnt move, and the rack has high durometer bushes, so it doesnt really move, but you reallly want to get rid of the vibes, doncha know.....and when you do OTTP stage 1, the power hop goes, the vibes go and you have a lot more clearance to the rack, not that you need it, you see?

and just thinking what really happens is the steering wheel doesnt ocsilate over bumps when the bump steer goes away, so really steering response doesnt change. I wonder as i look at your mods, does the car handle the same way turning in right and left? like in good hard corners or in auto x or stuff like that?

Again you keep talking about the vibs from my poly mount inserts. And that isnt a concern, as there are very little. I dont drag race so wheel hop isnt an issue, but here in NE AL there is a good amount of twisty roads. Which I hit kinda hard from time to time.
I know by returning the tie rod angle back (close) to it stock angle steering response will be improved. Along with being lowered, the two combined will have its benefits.
I saw one pic on this thread of the spacers installed, was wondering if anyone has a close up pic to see the clearance between the rack and rear mount w/the spacers installed.
Thanks for you input.

I have no pics, but there is very little clearance, but like Qwik pointed out the mount doesnt move and the rack uses very stiff bushings, the only concievable way the rack is going to contact the mount is if you get a lot of extra force on the tie rod...IE scrubbing a curb at high speed, etc.....IMO there is no chance you will damage the rack from contact with the mount. The only way youd likely even get noticeable contact is if you had a hit hard enough to otherwise damage the steering in some way.
