Tips for Pedder install
I whittled the plastic parts down a bit with a knife, and then took a kitchen torch to soften them up. They were not going in, even with lube on. In fact, I'm pretty sure it would have cracked. Mine were tight enough to permanently deform the metal ring.
Not sure I'd try this on a press. That will be very dangerous if it slips. Just whittle and torch it.

i put them in as far as i could then put them on the car and bounced the trunk and hit the springs with a rubber mallet and they were seated before i took them on the road. ***make sure the rears are leaning forward and the small end is the top.
I had to do the same as wangspeed for the rears. I took a dremel with a sanding bit and lightly trimmed the lip on the plastic seats. there was no other possible way they would fit. i need to get back under and check because at initial install time the plastic seat and spring wouldnt seat completely. I was thinking the weight of the car would do it but not even that helped at the time.
i used a grinder to grind down the plastic bottom "shoe" a tiny bit to get it to fit properly.. it was still very snug. then we jecked up the torsion beam to get that to snap onto the axel part
When I installed them the first time, I was able to get everything together by hand. However, the foam disc that goes on top of the spring was shot. So, I ordered a new set of them and they came with new bump stops and everything. When I went to swap them out, the new parts were a huge pain to install. I used lube, jumped on them, smacked them with a rubber hammer, the whole nine yards. I ended up using a press, but don't just throw your spring onto the press and start jacking on it.... that will create a very dangerous situation. Take your time to block things up so that you are only compressing the top one or two rings of the spring. They slid on like butter.
The fronts are self-explanatory.

no pics but the springs are a major pain in the butt to get over the plastic spring seats. I havent tried the press but i think it would work better than pushing on it with your hands.
like spring on the left
