Ttr Sway Bar

Looks like turbotechracing.com has their own sway bars on sale. Anyone know the diameter of the factory sway bars front and rear?

Changing sway bars does exactly what for the ride? Less body roll giving the ability to make tighter turns?

you are correct. i felt a minor difference when i had the dc sports bar on my 2.4L SS. when i had one on my 86 camaro it did nothing for me cuz the handling on that car was just terrible.

I ordered one, it should aid in cornering by not letting the ass of the car lean and let pressure off 1 side for grip. I hope it works good.

I had one of the TTR rear sways and took it off. I had too many people tell me that bar was doing absolutely nothing for my handling. They all said that the only way a rear bar would be useful on our car is if it went straight across. So Im gonna get one of these to replace the TTR one, cheaper and, according to many experienced car racers/mechanics, more useful.

Ummm, you had other people tell you it was doing nothing? Couldn't you tell for yourself?

I felt a big difference when I installed my Progress rear sway bar.

Its exactly the same as the progress bar, just marketed under a different name. Looks like it is 3 mm thicker but still the same shape, a useless shape considering how our suspension is set up. http://www.turbotechracing.com/produ...idproduct=5148

Well 2 screws came loose and it was rattling, I was just gonna reinstall it but I had too many people tell me that the way it was shaped made it a useless product. I couldnt really tell a difference in handling, its been off for a few days now and I take the same turns in the same manner with the same results.

Basically what I was told was that because the springs are so close to the frame in the rear that it is already pretty strong there. The shape of the TTR and Progress sway bar curves and sets in the exact same location as the bar that is already running across the car. A bar that goes straight across would be the best way to provide added support but even that wouldnt do much.

And the bolts came loose cause of constant rattle from driving. The nuts dont lock on, so over time they begin to unscrew.

Well whatever you had was cheap, and not the new TTR bar that literally JUST started shipping.

Also... if you had anything installed worth a crap (well installed Progress/TTR bar) you would have noticed a difference. So... not to call BS too bad but... well, I'm calling BS.

I had the progress bar installed. When I took it off and drove my car on the same roads it handled exactly the same. Im sorry that someone who had a different experience than you and was given different information than you was offering an opinion different than yours. I forgot that forums were about having the same opinion as everyone and not trying to help people by sharing your experiences.

if thats what you noticed with the progress sport bar, id' say your gonna be seriously dissapointed in the bwoody bar, it does even less for the suspension.

LOL Lots of fun stuff. I want to upgrade my suspension b.c I think I have enough HP for now, I just want to be able to take turns alot more smoothly w/o my car feeling like its going to be performing a barrel roll for the circus.

My mothers 03 civic handles like a dream, so tight around the corners and its all stock.....

There is no way you had a Turbo Tech Racing Sway bar! No one has these yet, they just started shipping YESTERDAY!

Plus that link is for a STRUT BAR not a SWAY BAR they do 100% different functions....

Please research before you post, those 3MM thicker means it is 66% stronger! It is like night and day difference.... It is call torsional forces, the larger the diameter the faster the amount of torsional force it can take.

Not at all checkout the group purchase/vendor special forum for the discount code.

There are a lot of Newbies that dont know what they are talking about, research, and listen to those who have been around a while.

Agreed sway bars do much more than strut bars.

These sway bars are manufactured by a third party company and marketed under your name? What kind of warrant is there on the product from defects?
