Does anyone even know why it's taking so long? I mean just about every compact car has some kind of tune for it. Why is the E16a so difficult? If some tuning doesn't come out within the next 6 months, I'm just gonna go with an n/a setup using the build book.

The E16 "orphan" ECM is used in a limited number of base models of a vehicle that also has a SS N/A and a SS S/C models. The big companies are not so pressured to invest their time and money into a computer that has a very limited enthusiast crowd, or so they claim.

I just posted about this in the 2.2L forum here and Halfcent has kept updates on this topic for a long time here.

The cars driving around with the E16 are not really the "sport" versions. Solutions are out there already for the 2.0 and soon the 2.4 (Hahn). I had all of these problems before with other vehciles and I've always been sorry for not speaking up and being heard.

If you want to do something contact the few companies that are working on these solutions and be heard. Let them know that we want a solution. Show them there is a buyable market and the managers will make sure a tune is produced.

No one has posted what problems the E16 is causing.
