do i need a case relearn?

do i need a case relearn?

im getting my rebuilt motor in my car and i replaced the crank position sensor. just wondering if i need a case relearn or not. pcm hasnt been connected to the car for months if that makes a difference.

According to the factory service manual whenever you replace the crank position sensor you are supposed to do a crank relearn....I would...my .02.

is this something i can do with hptuners or do i need the hacks at chevy to do it

If with HPTuners you can select the "CKP system variation learn procedure" then you can do it. I haven't had the "pleasure" of doing one yet. Do you have the instructions/procedures to do it?

HPT can do case learn.

Am i mistaken or does the new Aeroforce Interceptor have a case learn feature? Might be a good investment.

yes. The Interceptor can now do CASE (Crank Angle Sensor Error) re-learn.

yeah, even though I have HPTuners I am now considering one. it would be nice to monitor everything without having my laptop in the car. plus it does all DTC's, can monitor my wideband, and now has CASE and a fan control

hmm sweeet gotta get 1. so if i order it and the one i get isnt the new version because the vendor has had it on the shelf for a while i can update the software right?

The inteceptors do have these options available but.. they don't work. At least not in my '06 SS/SC. I had to take it to the dealer for a case learn.

i just ordered my ottp pcm for my balt. when i install it. will i DEF need to do a crank relearn? if so, how much would it cost from the dealer
