MAF histogram help.

K.
VCM scanner keeps crashing on me when I try to make the Maf histogram to do my MAF tuning. I know i have to plot the afr error % in the table against maf hz on the x header. But it doesn't seem to like that. Am I on the right path here at all?

BTW, i followed Bill@HPTuners SD tuning guide, so hpt and scanner files are ready to go.

Thanks,
nate

Make sure you are logging MAF Hz (frequency), afr lo res commanded, custom wideband pid (for whatever brand uego you are using), and of course knock to be safe. Those PIDs, other than knock, are required at a minumum to tune MAF via AFR error.

Thanks Witt. I have those in my table to log . Just not sure if I have the maf histogram set up. Looks easy, but its not working with me.

Theres one properly setup in the Hpt files. If you click the Import Histogram button you'll see additional premade histograms available, there should be several MAF based ones there.

If you want to setup it manually, its just as easy. Click on configure Histograms, select the PID used to monitor, which should be AFR error. Its preset under the User Defined list. The table you then want to select shoud be MAF Airflow vs. Output Frequency I think it is.

Hope this helps ya.
