Trading in e85 lsj tune help.

Okay I'm getting a truck. Right now I have 80# injectors with E85 tune. I don't have the time to take it all apart I want it gone now. Will a 60# tune work with 80#s on gas?

I just don't want to trade it in and have them call me later about it, if that's even possible..

You need to have it tuned for the 80's or it will not run right at all.

hes not swaping 80's for 60's hes taking the 60 tune if he swapped everything over and putting it with his 80's which is a no-no. OP you need to get it tuned correctly or whoever you are trading the car to will be definitely calling you.

lol.... just use all the injector tables from the tune with the 80's and copy it over to your gas tune that is setup for 60's then change your Stoich AFR back to 14.69 and you should be good to go for the most part. Nothing really very complicated.

You need to learn to read, he said he has 80' and E85. He asked if he can put in 60's and run gas.... So, you are completely backwards.

Answer, yes you can. Should you, NO

Not if he doesn't have HPTuners and had someone else tune him. It's not as simple as putting the 60# fuel tables in the 80# tune. If you change injectors, you need to do a maf cal as well as changing it back to 14.7, but if he scaled the MAF and left it at 14.7, then the maf cal will be very skewed.

I was assuming that he has HPTuners so my mistake there. I was also assuming that he knew that he could get away with just pull his maf calibration table from the old gas file he had kicking around and just run it on purely maf so he didn't have to worry about the ve tables.... or just pull the ve table too if he fealt crazy. Sorry, I sometimes forget that I'm not in the HPT forum..

Sorry the way I read it was he has 80s and he wants to use a 60s tune on them. Not really sure how I read it wrong if his original question is below....

"Will a 60# tune work with 80#s on gas?"
