if you get caught besides that no, something big has to happen for them to even check calibration ID numbers so yes for most things unless you blow up the engine

for any aftermarket part to void your warranty they have to prove it caused the problem. it's outlined in your warranty paperwork.

yea my trany went out 2 days ago and they are droping a new one in this week, and everyone talks about how bad ass these autos are, yea right!

My drivetrain and powertrain warranty got voided when my dlr found a tune when they scanned my ECU

They don't have to prove squat.....Just a few pics of said aftermarket parts on car and your warranty is done...

no that isn't illegal technically.. because a tune will affect the longevity of the engine and tranny.. however.. for them to void it then is iffy.. however they already had the evidence they needed if anything went wrong

yes, because they voided it BEFORE anything happened for ANY claim, it is illegal since at the time of the claim is when they have to scan it and prove it, the TSB is on here somewhere, and it states at the time of the claim, they take a digital pic of the tech2 and send the original spec sheet (comparing one value between the two is how they determine a non stock tune) to GM and GM determines (not the dealership) if the claim is valid or not.
