i took the beginners course a year ago good start and i learned alot. though its based on LSX engines. some of it can carry over. also i think you have to take the beginners course with them first before the advanced course
yeh it kinda is, but you could make your money back if you wanted to by continuing to learn tuning and charging people to tune there cars. but for me it was worth it even if i dont use it for other people. this school is the only school that teaches tuning using hp tuners
It seemed worth it.. i mean.. your right, he is the only guy using hpt... and hes making a killing off of that.
It seems like you can get just about everything u want from that school though..

tuning LSJ cobalts doesnt differ very much from gen III/IV V8s which is basically what this course is directed towards
what I'd be interested in is learning how to do the VVT and direct injection cars like the CTS, the LNF, 2.4 cobalts and HHRs. I don't understand all that phaser BS.

It seems to me the advantage of this is they have put it all together for you in one place, where as if you go about the way myself and many others have learned by reading tons of books and scouring forums for information that seems very illusive at times it can be REALLY frustrating and times and take a very long time.
I've actually considered trying this myself just to fill in some gaps I know I have. What I'm afraid of is that it's just a basic how to without real reasoning behind the steps they tell you. It is pretty pricey but in theory you can make that money back.

Buddy of mine has the book and has taken the course. He is part of our GTO group and has learned a lot. And I have found it very useful as well with the Balt. As it was stated it the only place that explains in simple terms about HPT and the do's and dont's.
What is the name of that book? Is it possible to just get the book?
